The development of applications in applications store continue to evolve. In Apple's AppStore for example, the number of ipad apps has reached 100,000. A fantastic amount.
Mashable reports citing Macstories mention, until March 2011, the number of ipad applications in the AppStore recorded 75,000. And three months later, the number of ipad applications increased to 100,000. This is just a special application for the iPad.
When combined with the iphone and ipod touch apps, the number of applications in the AppStore could reach 500,000 (for both paid and free ipod touch apps). So far no one can beat Apple in the number of applications.
And what about the development of Android Apps?
According to Mashable, the current applications available for Android tablets the amount is less than 1,000 applications. It is difficult to calculate exact figures given tablets Android uses different versions such as Gingerbread and Froyo.
But since it was released in October 2008, the number of android apps for all types of devices using the Android operating system, the figure recorded to 200,000.
In March 2009, the number of applications in the Android Market was recorded 2300, in December 2009 reached 20,000. Then in August 2010, the figure doubled to 80,000. And until May 2011, the number of applications in the Android Market reaches 200,000.
Meanwhile, the number of applications in Microsoft Windows Phone Marketplace also grown impressively. Until July 2011, the number of applications in Microsoft WP Marketplace recorded 25,000.
Since its initial launch in November 2010 and then until the end of March 2011, registered 11 500 applications in Microsoft WP Marketplace. Three months later, the number of applications increased 13,500, so now the number reached 25,000.
