Do this steps in order to solve your problem with Epson SX445W.

1.Disconnect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable from the back of the product, but leave the product turned on

2.Open the cover of the product and remove the print cartridges

3.Close the cover and wait for the Insert Ink Cartridges message to display

4.Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product and wait for one minute

5.Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button

6.Open the cover and reinsert the print cartridges

7.Close the cover. If prompted, print a calibration page.

8.Reconnect the USB cable, and try to print a print job from the computer

If you just replaced your ink cartridge maybe you bought the wrong one.

Check that the cartridge is a genuine Epson ink cartridge – look for the EPSON branding and T0xxx codes on the cartridge labels.
Non-genuine Epson inks are often the cause of recognition problems, in addition to contributing to print quality issues.

Epson do not support the use of non-genuine consumables and therefore Epson do not guarantee quality or compatibility when using these with our products.

If a non-genuine ink cartridge is in use, we recommend that you replace it with a genuine Epson ink cartridge.

You need to check if cartridge is placed properly or seated well. Make sure it was pressed properly like how it will be read by the printer before it print the page. Sometimes, problem won`t be a software issue so try to do a lot of things including checking your own gadget or hardware if everything placed correctly before operating.

Tried reinstalling the printer on the desktop, if you had the printer installed on the desktop as wireless printer, the printer`s ip address might have changed and desktops dont update printer`s ip address like mobile devices do. Reinstalling the printer on the desktop should do the work.

Hello,
this is a common problem for all epson printers that cartridge cannot be recognized though you have installed a new cartridge. all you need to do is to reinstall the cartridge gently until you hear a clicking sound.
thank you for your query.

Epson don`t usually support fake or second grade of inks. You need to purchase an original ink so you can make a problem free printing in the future. Sometimes there are some incompatibilities on the ink itself and you will some poor results.

Hi there. Try to open the front panel of the printer to expose the feeder, then look for any unknown thing which blocks the left side of the feeder.
Hope this helps.

It sounds like the printhead has died. If that`s the case you either need to buy a new printhead and fit it in, or it might be cheaper just to buy a new printer.
