iCloud Available Free from Apple this fall
iCloud Available Free from Apple this fall. After long speculation here we have finally iCloud presented by the officials of Apple in the WWDC 2011. First iCloud will be free to all users whether they have a Mac or PC, and the space available is only 5 GB in the free version. In iCloud we will be able to synchronize all of our devices automatically, we can synchronize documents in Pages, Numbers, Keynote plus songs, contacts, books, music, pictures, videos, our device settings, everything from the device. Synchronization will be done automatically every day so that we can be sure that everything in our device is automatically synchronized with iCloud servers. In apple iCloud we can see all the new applications downloaded through Apple account related to iCloud, so any application downloaded to any iPhone or Mac can be seen there. This option will be available in books, movies or music.
Photostream will be released by Apple with the iCloud, photo stream is basically a service that displays all photos stored on your devices or your computers. From Apple iCloud can be synchronized all photos taken by us and whether we are on a iPhone, Mac or PC, we’ll have access to Photo Stream and all photos available everywhere. The interesting part is that the photos saved in the Photo Stream don’t need the 5 GB from your new iCloud account. The downside is that photos are not uploaded to Apple’s servers and in our devices are stored over 1000 pictures taken, but after 30 days Photo Stream information will be automatically deleted.
Finally we have iTunes Match that scans our entire iTunes library and upload our iCloud account with any previously purchased song. The interesting part is that Apple replace some of our songs with DRM free and all for only $25 annually.
Mail, Calendar and Contacts apps will be compatible with iCloud and were completely rewritten to work with the new online service from Apple. iCloud will be available in autumn this year but we can synchronize iTunes with iCloud starting today or tomorrow for those who installed 4.3 IOS.
