When I try to scan something, a message pops up that says my computer is not connected (even though I am still able to print wirelessly.) I have never scanned before and am not sure if I am doing something wrong, or if I have to have a USB cord for that…??

Answers for this question:

Yes you can print using your ipad with Airprint application, as long as the it`s been supported by the app.

You can find it on the LED panel on your printer then sync to the router. WPS has an icon of padlock with a signal waves.

Just connect the printer to your pc. And then find “Windows Fax/Scan” in your programs. Then add your printer and follow the directions to scan on there.

Try to update your drivers. You can find the most recent ones by searching for Canon MG5300 drivers…very easy. this should fix your problem. it has happened to me before.

Reload the software to the printer again so it picks up your wifi signal.
